Focus Group analysis

I have conducted my focus group and gained feedback which I will use my final edit to help my make my final edit the best as my ability.

  • When adding the white noise sounds I need to make sure to turn the white noise down. E.g the outside noise, school noise. I need to turn it down due to it being too loud throughout my first draft which make's it hard to hear what the actor's are saying.
  • The intro bell music sounds unique which my focus group said it make's my radio stand out with an intro and outro that is rememberable. This will make it stay in the audiences's mind since it's a catchy hook.
  • Adding music throughout my radio drama to make the dramatic bits stand out and to make the audience not get bored. This is because throughout my radio drama there is no music added but just white noise, when adding the music to the dramatic part's it'll let the audience know that they should pay attention to that specific part.
  • When the actors are talking I should move the dialogue closer to each other with no gap. This is so that when the actor's are talking they'll sound more natural and less "robotic". This would help the audience pay attention more since it'll sound more realistic like a real life conversation.
  • Some of the dialogue lines were louder than others which make's it seem less natural, which mean's that I'll need to play with the levels of the audio on Final Cut pro and ensure that they all sound at one level unless the characters are on purposely supposed to be in different positions so the speech will sound either quite or louder at that specific part.
